BW Builders LLC in Anchorage, AK is a general contractor (licensed and bonded with residential endorsement) owned by Brian and Susannah Woodruff.

Brian started his construction career working for a general contractor in his hometown of Williamstown, Massachusetts. After completing a degree in Construction Technologies at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY, he moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

After working for several years for a local contractor and home builder, Allen Budge, Brian and Allen formed BW Builders Inc. Over a period of 15 years, BW Builders earned a reputation as a high quality and trusted company, building custom homes, townhouses, and commercial projects.

In 2012, Susannah returned to school at the University of Idaho to complete a PhD in Wildlife Sciences. During this time Brian worked as the Construction Inspector at the University and in his 3+ years there, inspected and worked as a construction manager on projects including heating system renovations, auditorium and classroom renovations, technology upgrades, new elevators, a 60,000 square foot abatement and remodel, and a new state-of-the-art science building. 

In 2017 we moved to Juneau, AK for Susannah’s work. After building our own home and working on several residential projects, we relocated to Anchorage in 2019 where we intend to stay.
